Risk Education and Literacy (REaL) Summer Camps for high school students

 

This is a summer camp program for high school students aimed at building risk literacy.

 

REaL camps are week-long, on-campus programs held across top universities, designed to equip high school students with essential decision-making, critical thinking, and leadership skills by exploring real-world risks - ranging from cybersecurity and climate change to misinformation, mental health, and financial decision-making.

Networking Brunch

 

The King's Trust Canada will be hosting a networking brunch in partnership with KPMG Canada. This networking event is for young people 18-30 years old who are interested in learning more about the tech sector and growing their professional network.

 

The event will be made up of activities to bust myths around careers in the tech sector as well as breakout discussions with a panel comprised predominantly of women in tech at KPMG.

Who its for

 

  • Must be new to the work force

 

  • Unemployed for more than six months

Oasis Skateboard Factory

 

Oasis Skateboard Factory is now taking applications for the fall/winter high school semester, Sept 2025- Feb 2025. OSF is an alternative high school program that's full accredited by the TDSB. All courses are taught through the lens of street art, skateboarding and running a small business.

 

Students don't need to be skaters to attend but they should be interested in art, subculture, entrepreneurship and hands-on learning. At OSF students can learn, earn and graduate while getting one step closer to graduation and post-secondary

 

  • Candidates must finish grade 9/10 compulsory  courses and

 

  • Spots will be filled based on a first- come-first serve basis

 

 

  • Must be 16, finished their grade 9/10 compulsories

  • Toronto’s 2025 Summer Safety Plan – is an approach to prevent, intervene and respond to violence and keep the youth safe this summer.

 

  • This document includes violence prevention and recreational programs across the city of Toronto such as:

 

  • expanding access to safe spaces,

 

  • supporting community events,

 

increasing youth engagement in specific neighbourhoods

Career Counsellor for Youth Employment Services

 

The Career Counsellor/ Job Developer position provides employment planning, preparation and job development services to clients who require assistance in conducting their own job search due to poor work habits, market perception barriers or interpersonal skills. They are responsible for building partnerships with employers in the GTA to create job opportunities for clients. The Career Counsellor/Job Developer plays a hands-on role with clients and employers, providing support and monitoring of placements to ensure job retention.
