The Toronto Community Champion Award provides residents with an opportunity to shine a spotlight on community organizations and the work they do to strengthen neighbourhoods and benefit the health and well-being of community members and residents.
Priority will be given to organizations that:
- are community-focused and adapt services to respond to the needs of the community;
- demonstrate an inclusive and innovative approach to their work;
- serve Indigenous, Black and/or equity-deserving groups and communities and areas;
- provide community service as their primary focus, rather than fundraising or grant making;
- align with City of Toronto’s Long-Term Vision, Plans and Strategies;
- have not been previously recognized with a Toronto Community Champion Award.
All Toronto Community Champion Award nominations submitted will be reviewed by a Selection Committee panel made up of City staff and community leaders. Recipients will be announced in May 2026.
