Event: Regent Park Neighborhood Safety Walks
In a pivotal meeting on November 16, 2023, The Regent Park Social Development Plan(SDP) Planning Committee diligently laid the groundwork for the highly anticipated Stakeholders Table Meeting scheduled for November 27 2023. The committee's discussions revolved around finalizing the schedule and agenda for the upcoming event, emphasizing the importance of effective organization for presentations by Funded Groups. With preparations in full swing, the SDP Planning Committee aims to deliver a Stakeholders Table Meeting that not only informs but actively contributes to the progress and benefit of the Regent Park Community.

Deep Dive Process 2021
Purpose of the Planning Committee:
The Stakeholders’ Table was established to guide the revitalization and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders who live or work in Regent Park. It incorporates the leadership of residents, grassroots groups, agency partners, institutions, government, Toronto Community Housing, and the City of Toronto. The Stakeholders’ Table is responsible for the implementation, coordination, resourcing, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of the Refreshed Social Development Plan, as well as maintaining its ongoing relevancy and responsiveness to community needs.
The Regent Park Social Development Plan was developed through community consultations to ensure social inclusion and social cohesion of residents throughout the duration of the Regent Park revitalization. In 2017, after ten years of revitalization, community partners, residents and City staff updated the Social Development Plan and identified fifty-three actions for implementation. Nineteen of these actions have been identified as a priority and are ready for implementation while the remaining thirty-four actions require further development. This report identifies prioritized Regent Park Social Development Plan actions, services and programs and a strategy to resource these actions for consideration in the 2020 Budget process.
